# Prize Shape > Structure what a hackathon awards before the rules are published, then write the prize section for the brief. Enter > the published tracks and places, who funds each award and in what medium, the budget's Prizes line, the team-size cap, > who holds the money and who might win. The page checks the structure; a metered run writes it. Built on the SkillSafe > skill @samber/hackathon-cash-prize (samber/dev-event-organizer-skills, MIT). https://prize-shape.skillsafe.ai/ ## What is free - The medium before the size: gear by default; credits with their expiry, region and account; cash removed when a winner could be a minor or abroad or there is no entity to pay through; an opportunity removed without a written commitment; recognition as a real choice. - The pool: no monetary pool, modest (inside the Prizes line), sponsor-funded, or flagship (removed when no Prizes line exists) - organizer-funded and sponsor-funded amounts kept apart, unsigned sponsor awards flagged. - The split: graduated podium by default, winner-take-most removed once a sponsor funds a track, flat removed at a low effort ceiling; the award count, podium shares, and units per person against the team cap with a leftover rule. - The eligibility-to-receive paragraph for the brief, with every undecided blank highlighted; the gates (a minor, a winner abroad, a sponsor's own employee) that force a review before announcing. - The payout mechanic, and every live exposure category - contest-law classification, payer-side tax reporting, cross-border payment, minors, sponsor employees, people working the event - routed to a person. Never a threshold, a form name or an amount. - The six-item pass threshold. Awards CSV, Markdown and JSON exports. ## The metered lanes Two tasks on gpt-terra, metered per run, routed by `task`. Input string fields: `task` (structure or brief), `event`, `awards` and `facts` (the page's structure, the pass threshold and every finding). - `structure` replies with `summary`, `medium`, `pool`, `split`, `units`, `eligibility`, `payout`, `exposures`, `signals` and `caveats`; the page holds every pick, amount, count and route to its own and refuses any tax-form name. - `brief` replies with `awards`, `eligibility`, `claim`, `conditions` and `note`; the page requires every award in order, the paragraph's decisions with its exact blanks, and unsigned sponsor awards held back. ## Links - API tutorial: https://prize-shape.skillsafe.ai/api.html - Source skill: https://skillsafe.ai/skill/@samber/hackathon-cash-prize
